This was such an amazing and inspiring location, Blue Basin, Oregon. The soil was actually as sea foam green as it appears in these photos. It contrasted with gorgeous burgundy colored rocks and was the perfect backdrop for these gorgeous bohemian inspired gowns Emily created for her latest collection. She planned the entire shoot, from the locations, to the models, to the overall styling. She's a true visionary and talent. I've been lucky to work with her gowns on many occasions, and I hope they aren't the last!

Inspired by pink, I dreamed up this shoot with Travis Richardson and Jann Marie. I painted the backdrop a soft shade of blush, and pinned vibrant green leaves to the backdrop to offset the sweetness. I focused on deeper pinks for the florals and gold ribbon to compliment the pink tones. This dress by Jann was so stunning! It had such beautiful movement, and it was modern and timeless all at once!

My beautiful partner in crime, Brenna was the model for this shoot! She is so stunning, her hair is incredible! Always such a pleasure working with D'Arcy and getting the photos back, always so dreamy and beautiful. D'Arcy went and collected all of the blossoms for this shoot by knocking on strangers doors and asking if she could clip blossoms from their trees! She has more guts than I have!  MUAH artist, ,

Geraldine_Editorial-142 Geraldine_Editorial-36I absolutely loved the opportunity to get to fly to Santa Barbara and contribute the florals to this shoot for the beautiful publication, Geraldine Magazine. They have such a beautiful and strong vision and I felt honored to be a part of their second issue. This had to be my favorite order of all time. I loved getting to work with deep and soft purples during the spring months when all of the beautiful textural blooms are in season. You can pick up Geraldine Magazine online at Barnes and Noble or Anthropologie.

Laurel and Taylor live in London and wanted to have an english garden feel to their wedding. To achieve that feel we used mossed terra cotta vessels for the arrangements and lots of english roses. I also used small potted herbs to add to the centerpieces for extra interest.

I always love working at The St. Regis in Deer Valley, it's one of my favorite venues. The scenery is beautiful and the staff is excellent. Excited to have a few more there this year!

This wedding was featured in the UK Brides Magazine! I hope to get my hands on a copy soon!

TopFlorists_W0315 This was by far the most exciting news I've had in a long long time. When I think of Martha Stewart Weddings I think of the holy grail of publications. This magazine is the place that all creatives aspire to land in one way or another. To be included amongst so many designers that I admire so greatly, was a huge honor. Thank you again Martha Weddings!

Emily is a delight. She is kind, giving, and she has a great southern accent too. So everything she says is even sweeter. She was going to be in Salt Lake visiting her sister and wanted a one-on-one for bouquets. She was such a pleasure to teach. I was nervous! I hadn't taught much at this point, and I must say that having a good student makes teaching a lot more fun. She was so eager to learn and hear me out on all of my blabber. We had such a great time, and her bouquet turned out incredible.

I love the photos of the behind the scenes, the photos of the creation that goes into the final result. The art of creating, and the process that goes into it has always been so fascinating to me.

I look pretty sloppy in these photos but when I'm creating and working on flowers for weddings, this is usually my state if disarray. I'm usually wearing a comfortable T-shirt, and apron, and comfortable flats. But I don't think I ever get dressed or leave the house without a few pieces of jewelry. Somehow a good piece makes an otherwise really sloppy look feel somewhat put together. I found a Nallik necklace hiding on an Anthro sale rack years ago. It was an orchid petal set under quartz and wrapped in brass. I fell in love with it and wore it day after day, year after year until I finally bought another piece from her beautiful collection.

I have been following her Facebook page since I found the necklace at Anthro, seeing her journey and beautiful pieces pop up in my feed was always a delight. Her pieces are so raw, so natural and simple. She took notice to my frequent likes and comments and wanted to get in touch with me. She sent me this beautiful piece I'm wearing in these photos.

Here I am in my element, wearing exactly what I'd wear on a normal day arranging by myself adorned with a piece of jewelry I'll always hold close to my heart. Thank you Jean!

There are zillions of other necklaces in her collection I'm dying for. You can see and purchase all of the beauty she has created here.
